My role and scope
I handled preparation of the managed services tender, working with IT, Purchasing and business teams.
Context
A real estate organization was preparing to select a managed services provider. It needed to specify the required services and compare proposals, including their total cost over five years.
Tender preparation and coordination
- Gathered IT service requirements from IT, Purchasing and business teams.
- Defined expected service levels and indicators, then drafted the tender documentation.
- Coordinated provider questions and answers and prepared proposal presentations.
- Built a Python/Excel model to compare proposal costs over five years.
Tender deliverables
- Tender documentation specifying the required services and service levels.
- 5-year total-cost model and matrices comparing proposals and their risks.
